2005 to Fall 2009 Califon United Methodist Church — Mission Chair
The Califon United Methodist Church Friendship Circle: 2007–2008
The Friendship Circle, a group which began in the CUMC in approximately 1986, has always had fellowship and friendship at the heart of its mission. The Friendship Circle has been dormant for a while, but on Sept. 12, 2007 the Church Council officially "re-activated" it. The Friendship Circle engages in "hands-on" mission projects, within both the church and the surrounding community, and will also provide ongoing opportunities for fellowship and service.
For the 2009 CUMC Mission Year the Hearts of Hope recipient will be Appalachia Service Project The Califon United Methodist Church partnered with the Fairmount Presbyterian Church and the Lower Valley Presbyterian Church along with local artists and musicians and vendors and raised in excess of $4,000 for the Appalachia Service Project.
The Hunterdon Learning Center 2008 Hearts of Hope, the Califon United Methodist Church and the surrounding merchants helped to raise in excess of $4,000 for the Hunterdon Learning Center
Michael Hafke Foundation: 2006–2007 through the efforts of Califon United Methodist Church, and the surrounding communities in excess of $20,000 was raised to aid Cliton Township Police Officer, Mike Hafke, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Multiple Myeloma, a treatable, yet incurable, form of bone cancer.
Habitat for Humanity: Raritan Valley Chapter: 2005–2006 Califon United Methodist Church, along with numerous other houses of worship within Hunterdon County (Hunterdon Interfaith Housing Opportunity) raised $75,000 (half of the cost of a home) for a family in need of low income housing.
